If only I could wake up with my hair and make up done… Well, that’s not the case. I’ve got super frizzy hair and dark under-eye circles, so there is a bit of effort that goes into getting ready. I thought it would be fun to do a Get Ready With Me video – and maybe you’re as easily amused by any sort of ‘transformation’ or ‘before and after’ videos as I am! Hope you enjoy!
If you watched my latest haul, you’ll know that I have this obsession for neons and spiked accessories – two trends I never imagined myself wearing, but somehow I’ve come to love them. And dressing in all black? It’s not something I do often yet I love how it makes the neon pop in this case. So, after a few weeks of not wearing heels, I slipped on a pair yesterday (oops! wore them in this post too!). I have to say I love this outfit. I can see myself wearing it again and again this summer.
As for the makeup, this is something new to me too… wearing pale pink lipstick that is! It has become one of my everyday makeup looks and I might just need to film a tutorial to show you all soon! Down below, I added an instagram photo to help you see the makeup a bit better (I hope!).
Anyways, hope you all are having a perfect weekend! If you’re not having the best one, try getting dressed up or putting on heels or makeup – even if you’re not going out anywhere – and most likely it will lift your mood!
YouTube just keeps getting more fun – especially now that I’ve filmed my first haul! I’m the biggest girly girl that just loves girl talk and so you can imagine how exciting this was for me to chat about things I’ve purchased lately. In this video, I touch on skin and hair care products, nail polishes, clothing, and accessories. Hopefully you guys enjoy it! Please like, share, comment, and subscribe!

Every night, before I go to sleep, I say a prayer to God and thank Him for everything wonderful – and even the not so great things – in my life. I ask for guidance and protection and for the safety and well-being of family and friends. It feels amazing to take those few minutes to reflect on what is really important in my life and to notice how lucky I am to be alive and to have a family and to be happy.
Little Bits of Happiness makes me the feel the same way. By making these posts (all thanks to my blogger friend, Stephanie), I get to reflect on my life and share it with the world. And sometimes finding little bits of happiness makes you realize that they aren’t so little at all. In the grand scheme of things, most of these little things mean the most to me.
For this week’s Little Bits of Happiness, I’m sharing with you a day trip Kyle, Carter, and I took to Niagara Falls a few weeks ago. It was a last minute decision, the weather was beyond perfect, and we cleared our day to make time for each other. It’s a fun place to be for the day just to adore the falls, walk around the gardens, buy tons of candy, and go to fun houses and arcades and wax museums. Anyways, it was a sweet day with my little family and of course we snapped a whole bunch of pictures with my DSLR!
I have been inspired by useful printables lately. Can’t you tell? One reason for that is because I feel the need to get my whole life more organized so that I can save more time so that I can spend my time with Carter, with my hubby, and on my passions. Also, they’re just so fun and pretty!
Another reason why I am loving printables – especially meal-related ones – is because they are great to have when taking on healthy eating and budget-friendly living. I have been successfully eating healthy for the past month. I cut red meat, dairy, fried foods, salty foods, and sweets out of my diet. Basically, I’ve just been eating 6 small, healthy meals a day and drinking lots of water. I have to admit that I have actually stuck to it (hence why you’re only hearing about it now). I didn’t want to let you guys know about my dietary changes until I was sure that it was another flunk. So far so good.
Anyways, planning meals and preparing grocery lists can be fun if you make them that way – with cute printables, of course! And I have made a meal planner and a grocery list for you!
The meal planner is pretty simple. Just fill in what you plan on eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each day of the week. And there is space to list the ingredients on the side. There is also space to make little notes about each day – maybe about what snacks or drinks you’ll have that day. Meal planning is such a time saver and prevents you from munching on junk and fast foods as quick, last-minute meals.
If you feel that you could use a more in-depth grocery list, then hopefully this printable grocery list will help. How it works? List the product you intend on buying and list what section or aisle it is in (if you don’t know, you can leave it to once you get to the store and write it down for future reference). When you get to the store, start going through your list in whatever order works for you. With each item you pick up, write down its price and check it off the list. By writing down the prices as you go, you can already add up your total before you even cash out.
Here are the printables below! I hope that you find them fun and useful! Let me know how it goes!
It’s a happy Monday, guys. One of those Mondays where I’ve got this extra kick to my mood that says, “Today shall be productive.” Well, in the wee hours of the morning, I got my butt to work – especially after vlogging about how I needed to do so – and made a special freebie for all of you to print.
The way I plan my posts – if I do plan them – is that I normally just open up my notebook and scribble and list a bunch of my thoughts. Some arrows here and there. Exclamation points beside the areas that need special attention. However, to my eyes, this method is just a bit too messy. I really do believe that eye-pleasing lists are more motivating.
So, I made one – a blog post planner. It’s for individual blog posts, for those posts that require some extra thought… or maybe you’d like to use it for every post. Personally, I prefer a printable like this (for individual posts) over a weekly planner because it allows me to really go in depth and get detailed with my planning.

Of course, I can’t help but share this file with all of you. And feel free to pass it on to your friends too!
I took some of my free time this Sunday to update you all on what’s going on in my life, on this blog, and on my YouTube channel.
Also, just a little message to all that read this blog and especially to those who take the time to comment, subscribe, and follow me elsewhere (like Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter)
Thank you so much!
My gratitude definitely should be expressed more often! Blogging brings me joy and I am glad you are a part of it! Each notification I receive telling me that someone is subscribing or commenting makes me so happy. I love connecting with people – even if it is just a few.
Hello, lovelies! I hope you are having a sweet week. Speaking of sweet, I have a fantastic, everyday dessert recipe to share with you today.
Sweet treats are always welcome in my home. I am a sweet-over-salty kind of lady. Luckily, Carter shares that love for sweets with me – he loves all berries! Creating a sweet treat is as fun as tasting it. However, with a toddler, it is necessary to have a quick and easy dessert recipe up your sleeve.
That is where my triple berry trifle recipe comes in handy. It is made with COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and it is by far my favorite everyday dessert recipe. It’s quick, easy, and delicious. Plus, COOL WHIP has always been my go-to ingredient for sweet treats ever since I was a child. Even if it was just a dollop over my strawberries, I was beyond ecstatic. I hope to share that joy, fun, and sweetness with Carter by giving him everyday desserts made with COOL WHIP.
This recipe is for one individual sized triple berry trifle.
You will need:
• Cake, cubed
• Strawberries, sliced
• COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
• Any transparent glass or cup
• 2 tablespoons (one for fruits, one for COOL WHIP)
1. For the first layer, place 4-5 cubes of cake evenly at the bottom of the glass.
2. For the second layer, place 4 tablespoons of raspberries over the layer of cake.
3. For the third layer, spoon and spread 2 heaping tablespoons of COOL WHIP over the raspberries.
4. For the fourth layer, place 4-5 cubes of cake evenly over the previous layer.
5. For the fifth layer, lay 4 tablespoons of blueberries over the fourth layer.
6. For the sixth layer, spoon and spread 2 heaping tablespoons of COOL WHIP over the blueberries.
7. For the seventh layer, place 4-5 cubes of cake over the previous layer.
8. For the eighth layer, top the previous layer with 1 tablespoon of sliced strawberries.
9. For the ninth layer, complete the trifle with a dollop of COOL WHIP.
How scrumptious does that look? It is so simple to ‘whip up.’ This triple berry trifle is great to taste and look at, and it is so easily adaptable to your personal preferences. If you prefer a simple glass or a fancy one, go for it. If you prefer all strawberries or you want to add chocolate, go for it. If you prefer brownies rather than cake, go for it. Just don’t forget COOL WHIP Whipped Topping!
Hope you enjoyed this triple berry trifle recipe. It is one of our family favorites. You can imagine how much Carter loves his berry-filled trifle. His smile, covered with COOL WHIP, says it all.

This Sunday was my third Mother’s Day! I can’t believe how blessed I have been since becoming a mom. Of course, the best part is my sweet Carter who just brings so much greatness to my life! There’s nothing like watching your child grow. Just his smile is enough to make my day. And I love being able to see and understand the world through his eyes.
Every day of motherhood is a step of the journey and an opportunity to learn. Seriously, the way I see it is that becoming a mom has changed the way I look at life. It has helped me to be more appreciative and loving. And it made me realize that my main purpose in life is to be a mom, to have a family. Being a mom has allowed me to let love guide my life. How amazing is that?
Well, this Sunday, Carter joined me, my mom, my aunts, and my grandma on an outing at our favorite farm. The weather was fabulous and we just sat and laughed and enjoyed the scenery – while nibbling on fresh tarts and muffins. Carter had a blast rolling in the grass, gazing at all of the flowers, and visiting the little animals.
Once Kyle was done work, it was his turn to spend some time with me (Trust me. I had a blast using the “it’s my day” line). And we went out to see The Avengers. We had been dying to see it ever since it came out. Let’s just say that I was not let down. Pretty awesome movie.
So, a day with my Carter and a night with my hubby… a lovely Mother’s Day indeed!
I have dyed my hair countless times at home, but I’ve never bleached it by myself. Bleach is scary – it damages your hair and often pulls a lot of red tones. And I’ve seen a lot of hair colorists work their butts off to get rid of those red tones in my hair (back when I used to get highlights).
Yesterday, my cousin asked me to do a bit of ombre on the ends of her hair. I surprisingly said yes and used my previous experience as knowledge. Well, it ended up being super easy and it turned out to be amazing! Very effortless and beachy and the tone is so pretty for this season!
I couldn’t help but share the final results with you! And share my process, too!
Note: I am not a hair colorist. I have no training. This process will not guarantee anyone the same results as everyone’s hair is different – tones, texture, damage, and all. Be careful with bleach and hair dye and consult a hair professional!
Now, let’s move on to the fun stuff!
WHAT I USED:
Hair dye brush/applicator
20 & 30 volume developer (levels of developer depend on current hair color and hair color objective)
Level 8 Ash hair color as a toner
STEP 1: With my gloves on, I combined 30 developer with bleach powder (according to the package) until it became like a whipped cream consistency.
STEP 2: Taking a 1 inch piece of hair, I applied the bleach to the ends of my cousin’s dry hair using the hair dye applicator. I also made sure it wasn’t perfect by somewhat brushing and teasing the hair upwards.
STEP 3: I wrapped the piece of hair in a piece of tin foil.
STEP 4: I repeated steps 2 and 3 for the rest of the hair.
STEP 5: I checked on the hair every few minutes and then rinsed it when it reached a desired level of brightness (the time it takes varies depending on hair type, color, and damage).
STEP 6: Since her hair pulled lots of warm orange and yellow tones, I had to tone it with an ashy color. I mixed a level 8 ash color with a 20 developer (following package directions) and applied this mixture to the bleached ends.
STEP 7: I checked the hair every few minutes and then rinsed it once it reached a desired tone that was not brassy (length of time varies depending on hair type, color, and damage).
STEP 8: I rinsed (no shampoo!) and conditioned the hair and then styled it!
